Born in Salvador da Bahia, Mirla Riomar grew up immersed in Afro-Brazilian traditions, shaping her identity through dance, percussion, and song. Currently based in Barcelona, after years of collaborating with renowned Afro-Brazilian artists, she launched her own project. In 2022 she released Afrobrasileira, an acclaimed album blending Bahian rhythms with jazz and soul, praised internationally by critics and specialized media. With her powerful voice and authentic presence, she has performed at numerous international festivals, bringing a vibrant fusion of tradition and contemporary sounds to the stage.
